The Sunday game, taken seriously — but not too seriously.
ABOUT SALIX CC
Competitive enough to care. Relaxed enough to enjoy it.
It all became real in July 1991 when the newly formed Salix Cricket Club played their first game. Memories are a bit fuzzy on who the oppo was or the final result, but the club founded by Tony Fletcher and colleagues from Deloitte’s was up and running. The ethos was and remains to play social cricket, encouraging players of all abilities to join and just have some fun.
Thirty-five years is a long time, and I’m pleased to report that Salix is still going strong playing 35 over games most Sundays in or round West London with Barnes being our home for the last few seasons.
We’re always looking for new players, rusty or otherwise and if you fancy a game or two, please get in touch.

Back to winning ways in the heat
Reduced to just nine players, Salix CC overcame a ten-man Not the MCC side in sweltering heat to secure a deserved victory. It was a true team effort, with valuable contributions throughout the side, while Andy Spurr produced a match-winning all-round display, starring with both bat and ball to help Salix return to winning ways.
