Ben falls to a fantastic slip catch off Mackay
Well, not of the first time Salix CC got totally slaughtered (on the pitch that is, although Dominic was clearly suffering from a hangover anyhow) . With 4 ducks and a further 4 players scoring either 1 or 4 each, it doesn?t take much telling that extras (23) and Fletch (27) were the only bright spots, and frankly that?s not saying much.

The London Nigerians whacked of the total in fine style (well, 13 overs) although they did loose 5 wickets (good bit of bowling from Steve Jacobs).

The ground was excellent (our first time at our new home pitch) and the tea was widely appreciated.

Were there any highlights or lowlights: well, Ben got caught in the slips by a great low down one hander, Mackay bowled excellently as usual, lots of swing (sadly for them not us) , fast pitch, Dominic took and excellent catch in the outfield (but dropped at least two later and stopped a fast ball with his kneecap (the crack was heard in nearby Ruislip) and the sun shone, except for the last bit of the day, when it really got dark.

As the game was over so early, we all dicked around a bit and played another game, of which the clear highlight was Richard Winter giving Fred out LBW.

You gotta stop doing that Richard
